The Altern'Active Education organization is at the origin of the creation of Cap Montessori. The organization and the school are managed by volunteers, who contribute daily to the success and sustainability of the project. Volunteering, mutual aid and cooperation are the driving forces for our school and the values that we wish to transmit to our children.
The commitment and active participation of each parent sustain the project from within and create the density required for the principle of cooperation.
By enrolling their children at Cap Montessori School, the parents commit to an active child support approach and the contribution to the smooth running of the school.
In order to reduce costs and make the school accessible to a greater number, parents must play an active role in the daily running of the school :
canteen and recreation period supervision help ;
school building cleaning ;
help with various productions and various odd jobs :
after-school club or care centre and school outings.
Parents may propose activities to the teaching team, be they physical or artistic, DIY (do-it-yourself), handicrafts, cookery, gardening, relaxation techniques or nonviolent communication.
All parental participation is prepared and approved beforehand by the teaching team.
This assumes that the parent is conscious of the adult role in a Montessori environment and respects the working rules.
